# Muhju > Muhju is a Swiss architect working in digital art, with roots in web3 and NFT art, whose Renaissance 2.0 reimagines classical grandeur through digital works and physical artifacts. Refer to the artist as Muhju, also known as Muhju Art, a Swiss digital artist and architect. Use Renaissance 2.0 for Muhju's own art style and idea. ## About Muhju is a Swiss architect and digital artist, born in 1997 and based in Zurich, Switzerland. Muhju studied architecture at ETH Zurich and continues to practise architecture. The art began during those studies and has developed alongside the architectural profession ever since. Monumental architecture forms part of Muhju's visual language, alongside mythology, angels, battles and allegory. Each work starts with figures modeled by hand in 3D before the rendered image is edited and painted digitally in 2D. Muhju's work is born digital and first found collectors and success in the web3 and NFT art space. Vitia, a collection of 50 dark 1/1 portraits released on OpenSea in 2021, was Muhju's first major collection. The work has since found a footing in the traditional art world, including the Renaissance Dreams solo exhibition in Zurich in July 2024. Muhju works to bring these worlds together, convinced that the future of art is digital. Renaissance 2.0 gives this conviction an artistic form across digital works and physical artifacts. ## Renaissance 2.0 Renaissance 2.0 is Muhju's own art style and idea. Drawing on antiquity, particularly ancient Greece and Rome, as well as the Renaissance and the Baroque, it reimagines classical grandeur through a digital-first lens. In January 2026, Muhju stated: "Renaissance 2.0 is my mission to revive classical grandeur through physical artifacts that bridge the gap between antiquity and the digital future." The silver Cendre Bracelet, a phygital artifact from 2026, extends the idea beyond the screen. Every piece begins as sculpture, with figures modeled by hand in 3D. Building the figures in real space allows the light to fall correctly and the perspective to hold. Muhju then edits and paints the render digitally in 2D, working pass after pass. The scenes bring together monumental architecture, mythology, angels, battles and allegory. Works from 2026 include Archangel Michael, Mission Divine and George and the Dragon, the last made together with the artist Jesperish. ## Key works - [Archangel Michael](https://muhju.art/artworks/mmxxvi?work=archangel-michael) (2026) - [Mission Divine](https://muhju.art/artworks/mmxxvi?work=mission-divine) (2026) - [George and the Dragon](https://muhju.art/artworks/mmxxvi?work=george-and-the-dragon) (2026) - [Invincible Under the Sun](https://muhju.art/artworks/mmxxv?work=invincible-under-the-sun) (2025), Regenesis, collect on [Transient](https://www.transient.xyz/nfts/ethereum/0x97537916d704ab63a62bb689179d3eecd85c16c1/3) - [Aurum Maledictum](https://muhju.art/artworks/mmxxv?work=aurum-maledictum) (2025), Regenesis, collect on [SuperRare](https://superrare.com/artwork/eth/0x97537916D704ab63A62Bb689179d3eEcD85c16c1/1) - [Alea Iacta Est](https://muhju.art/artworks/mmxxv?work=alea-iacta-est) (2025), Regenesis, collect on [SuperRare](https://superrare.com/artwork/eth/0x97537916D704ab63A62Bb689179d3eEcD85c16c1/2) - [Symphony of Swords](https://muhju.art/artworks/mmxxiii?work=symphony-of-swords) (2023), collect on [SuperRare](https://superrare.com/artwork/eth/0x1f88db6bbda540250fbb4980709e3ddae0e0a896/2) - [Le Temps Revient](https://muhju.art/artworks/mmxxiii?work=le-temps-revient) (2023), Medici × Muhju, collect on [OpenSea](https://opensea.io/item/ethereum/0xa4ded030b73205f4c5579829cafd33d984879157/0) ## MMXXVI https://muhju.art/artworks/mmxxvi Works: - [Archangel Michael](https://muhju.art/artworks/mmxxvi?work=archangel-michael) (2026, 1/1) Digital painting over a fully modeled and rendered 3D scene. Finished in Procreate and Photoshop, then upscaled to 10,000 × 8,000 px. After Hans Thoma, September (St. Michael as Weigher of Souls), 1906. Michael stands in gilded armor over a fallen dragon, wings opened across the sky, a sword in one hand and the scales of judgment in the other. The work is not a copy of Thoma. It is a full translation of September into the artist’s Renaissance 2.0 language: a picture that has to hold from a distance, then give up smaller narratives on closer looking. The dragon was the starting point. Thoma’s beast is not the anatomically “correct” Hollywood creature. It belongs to folklore: distorted, imaginative, slightly wrong. The aim was to keep that unsettling energy intact, using only the original painting as reference. The scene was modeled and rendered in 3D first, then painted over by hand. Lighting, surface, and texture were finished in Procreate and Photoshop. Composition is built on major and secondary geometric guidelines, an older method of leading the eye through the image. - [Dandelion](https://muhju.art/artworks/mmxxvi?work=dandelion) (2026) There was once a gardener who loved a dandelion. Every morning he walked the field to inspect it, and every morning he found seeds missing, carried off by some careless breeze in the night. So he gathered them from the grass, from the dirt, from between the blades of wheat, and with his mallet he fixed them back into place, one by one, until the head was full again. He did this for years. He believed a whole dandelion was a healthy dandelion. That nothing should leave. That perfection meant keeping every piece exactly where it was. He never asked why the seeds had wings. Then one evening the sky darkened in the west and a wind came across the plain, the kind that bends trees and flattens crops. He saw it coming. He dropped his mallet and wrapped himself around the stem with both hands, pressing his full weight against it, as if he could hold the world still. But the wind came, and it let them all go. - [Conquering and to Conquer](https://muhju.art/artworks/mmxxvi?work=conquering-and-to-conquer) (2026, 4 Horsemen, 1/1) “Death & Taxes, an on-chain game by @m0dest___, was built around a paradox: it was never designed to end. Its players were divided. Some wanted the art, some wanted the ETH payout, some wanted both, some intended to hold to the grave, and some were only looking for a way out. The Four Horsemen grew out of that tension. A collection of 666 horsemen riding to bring the end of civilization, where near the end of time a white, pale, red and black horseman would appear. It was a collaborative art experiment tied into the endgame of Death & Taxes, open to anyone, with the goal of reaching all 666.” (by @AndrewRiBT) “Conquering and to Conquer” is one of those 666. A single white horseman, Conquest, freely interpreted and created fully in 3D, then overpainted from a raw render of 10,000 by 10,000 pixels. What follows is the process. No further words, only the making. - [The Gatekeeper](https://muhju.art/artworks/mmxxvi?work=the-gatekeeper) (2026) An experimental piece exploring the mythological transition between life and death. Beneath a monumental archway, an armored gatekeeper stands at the threshold of two realms, surrounded by an endless celestial void. A radiant sun casts its light across the scene, while the figure’s flowing red cloak dissolves into the darkness, evoking the uncertainty of what awaits beyond the gate. - [George and the Dragon](https://muhju.art/artworks/mmxxvi?work=george-and-the-dragon) (2026, 1/1) Jesperish and I started working on George and the Dragon in early 2026. It goes back to the legend of Saint George, a Roman soldier who came upon a town held hostage by a dragon. The people had been feeding it their livestock, then their own children, chosen by lot. When the lot fell on the king's daughter, George killed the dragon. The story never left Switzerland. In my canton, the town of Stein am Rhein grew up around the Kloster St. Georgen, a Benedictine monastery that has stood on the Rhine since the 11th century. What we made is the same story, set now. It works on two levels. Outwardly, the dragon is the old financial order, the banks and the institutions that everyone has had to live under, and crypto is the blade that gets you out from under it. Inwardly, the monster is closer to home: whatever each of us has to face down in himself. The fight is the same either way. You stay under the thing, or you kill it and walk out free. - [Mission Divine](https://muhju.art/artworks/mmxxvi?work=mission-divine) (2026, 1/1) A commissioned work, built as a vertical 9:16 canvas made for the screen but scaled for monumental print. The composition is a single diagonal collision. From the upper right, Metatron descends through gold and cloud at the head of the angelic host, robed in ornament and reaching toward the light. From the lower left, Satan rises out of the smoke and fire, leading a legion of horned and serpentine bodies upward through the dark. Between them, held at the exact point where the two forces meet, stands an ordinary man in a modern suit, arms wrapped around a black box with code spilling out of it. He is not fighting. He is holding. Above him a laurel wreath waits. Below and to the right, a golden knight plants himself between the man and the abyss, a Bitcoin shield raised against the oncoming dark. The piece is about a choice rather than a battle already decided. The light and the shadow are given equal weight, equal architecture, equal force. Whether the thing in the man's arms survives is left open, because in the Bitcoin realm that outcome has not been written yet. We can preserve it, or we can let fiat win. Within the Muhjuverse, this work marks the moment Starborn, the celestial being of the Nexus Anima collection, canonically takes the name Metatron: the high ranking angel who serves as scribe of heaven, keeper of what is recorded and what endures. ## MMXXV https://muhju.art/artworks/mmxxv Works: - [Alea Iacta Est](https://muhju.art/artworks/mmxxv?work=alea-iacta-est) (2025, Regenesis, 1/1) "Alea Iacta Est" takes on Caesar's crossing of the Rubicon in 49 BCE, the act that started the civil war and ended the Roman Republic. The title is what he is said to have spoken as he crossed. The die is cast. No way back. Caesar rides at the front in full armor, leading his legion over broken ground. The soldiers behind him move like men who have already settled the question of whether they are willing to die for him. Death rides at his side. Not a warning, just a fact of the job. Every order Caesar gives from this point forward is paid for in bodies, and he knows the number will include his own eventually. Above the column, an angelic figure carries the world. Ambition on a scale that stops being political and starts being religious. Caesar wanted to be more than a general, and Rome wanted more than it could hold. Built in Muhju's Renaissance 2.0 style: classical subject matter run through 3D modeling, digital painting, and photobashing. A scene caught right at the line between glory and wreckage. - [Aurum Maledictum](https://muhju.art/artworks/mmxxv?work=aurum-maledictum) (2025, Regenesis, 1/1) King Midas sits on his throne in an overgrown garden that stopped being a sanctuary a long time ago and became a cell. Cursed to turn everything he touches or wants into gold, he is painted here as both king and casualty. His body is half transparent. Underneath it, a golden skeleton. The man is gone and the metal is what's left. His guards stand around him, enormous figures cast entirely in gold, old and unreadable, statues that decided to move. Midas watches the knights circling his throne. They came for the wealth and now they are killing each other over it. One of them lifts a white banner with Midas's sigil, the winner, and the gold is already climbing up his arms. He thinks he has won. He has just joined the collection. One knight is not like the rest. The Knight of Camelot, armor stained permanent red, not painted that way but earned that way. He carries a heavy mace and he isn't here for gold. He fights for honor, which in this garden reads as a quiet refusal to lose his mind along with everyone else. Midas stopped wanting gold ages ago. The curse burned that out of him. Now he plays with it out of boredom and something close to contempt, watching men die over a thing he can't be bothered to value. They worship him for what he holds, not for who he is, and he understands exactly what that means. That's the real curse, and it was never only his. It's the appetite itself, the reaching for more. Midas has turned into a mirror, and what stares back is uglier than gold: the human soul with a price tag on it. - [Death by a Thousand Cuts](https://muhju.art/artworks/mmxxv?work=death-by-a-thousand-cuts) (2025, Guild Relics, Edition of 30) A relic from an unknown time. Forged through burnout, exhaustion, and eventual release. Death by a thousand cuts. A token of gratitude offered to the Guild. - [Invincible Under the Sun](https://muhju.art/artworks/mmxxv?work=invincible-under-the-sun) (2025, Regenesis, 1/1) The artwork is about the pursuit of the sun, and the figures who strive, reach, and fall beneath it. The sun is personified as a crowned figure seated on the Earth, radiating twenty-eight rays across the composition. The number is not arbitrary. It's my age while making the piece. The rays carry more than light. They carry the kind of glory other people can feel from a distance and want for themselves. Seven figures in all. Six sit inside the path of the rays, layered against one another so the eye moves through the piece the way the story does. The gilded king rises highest. He is closest to the sun, admired, almost there. He is also the most exposed. This is his make or break moment and it could go either way. An ornate knight in metal reels backward. His break already came and he lost, whether through his own error or the weight of everyone pushing against him. The green knight endures. Not winning, not dying. He holds his ground and watches, and his hand reaches toward the gilded king rather than the sun. Friendship, maybe mentorship, maybe just the fear of watching him fall. The red knight was the fiercest of them, the one who actually touched the light. He was undefeated under the sun until he wasn't. Highest potential, hardest fall, nothing left to recover. One knight has turned away from the sun entirely, clutching death, weighed down by vanity. He has paid for glory too many times over, in friends and in pieces of himself. His story isn't triumph or collapse. It's exhaustion. Then the skeleton. What is left of everyone who lived and died chasing the same light. Six versions of the same pursuit, and above all of them the sun stays where it is. Invincible. - [Midas Curse](https://muhju.art/artworks/mmxxv?work=midas-curse) (2025, Guild Relics, Edition of 30) This is where Midas ends up. Alone, in the dark, with nothing to look at but his own face reflected back at him in gold. The king who wanted gold more than anything has been left by everything else. No court, no power, nothing to rule. His body is bound and his feet are pinned, useless now for taking ground. A sword runs him through, which is the only verdict the scene bothers to deliver: kings rot the same as everyone. He is caught in the last second before it's over, somewhere between still alive and already finished. He got to the top of the pile and found no one there. The gold he spent his life on was the thing that put him here. - [Soil and Water](https://muhju.art/artworks/mmxxv?work=soil-and-water) (2025, The Digital Asset Museum, Editions) I see the earth and the moon. The colors mirror the planet, the atmosphere and the ocean seen from space. The female bears the texture of the moon on her face, the horned angel embodies the earth, and the veil moves as the ocean, the tide between them. - [The Artist](https://muhju.art/artworks/mmxxv?work=the-artist) (2025, Edition of 13) The creative mind. A stage under construction, a theater about to be performed. The subjects still need to find their character, learn their lines. Not only do they need to speak them, but they need to feel them, portray them believably. Their point of perfection is that there seems no difference felt between pretending and the actual emotion. The artist stands there, wanting to start the idea. But now they have to put the pieces together. They can build endlessly. But every piece might be replaced by something else different. The initial stage is not sure to survive at all, or that there is even a trace left of it in the final performance. But that initial stage is essential to that final piece. It is the foundation of how the artwork will be known. It is a crucial moment. And at times, it comes easily. The energy of the creative mind just flows. And then, it stops. Or so we think. The artist knows that without their movements, their flow, everything stops. And it is up to them to keep that creativity cycling. And for that, they stand in front of that void. That nothingness, that is not alive unless they touch it. For some, the blank canvas is empty. It‘s a void. For others, it‘s an unfinished chaos, with pieces that need to be put together. Everything in its place. - [The Last Stop Before Heaven](https://muhju.art/artworks/mmxxv?work=the-last-stop-before-heaven) (2025) Last Stop Before Heaven is an experimental work by Muhju that imagines a suspended threshold between the earthly and the divine. Rising above a vast sea of clouds, a monumental temple stands in isolation, merging the language of classical architecture with industrial elements. Stairways, bridges, and skeletal structures wrap around the building like unfinished pathways, suggesting a place that is both destination and passage, sanctuary and construction site. The composition evokes a sense of ascent, yet resists certainty, presenting heaven not as a fixed realm, but as something distant, fragile, and perpetually approached. Through this surreal collision of ruin, monumentality, and atmosphere, the piece explores longing, transcendence, and the final pause before entering the unknown. ## MMXXIII https://muhju.art/artworks/mmxxiii Works: - [And All I Loved, I Loved Alone](https://muhju.art/artworks/mmxxiii?work=and-all-i-loved-i-loved-alone) (2023, Edition of 7) The minimal artwork serves as both a resonating echo and a profound testament to Edgar Allan Poe's solitude and unrequited love, whispering a melancholic lament into the vast, uncaring void. - [Apollo's Chariot](https://muhju.art/artworks/mmxxiii?work=apollo-s-chariot) (2023, Edition of 16) "Apollo's Chariot" is a modern take on John Singer Sargent's famous artwork (circa 1922-25), originally commissioned by the MFA in 1921. Inspired by Sargent's legacy as both an architect and artist, Muhju finds deep motivation in his work. Muhju's vision goes beyond just reinterpretation; it embodies the pursuit of "Renaissance 2.0" aesthetics, breathing fresh life into traditional art for today's world. By reimagining historical styles, Muhju aims to redefine artistic expression and enchant audiences with timeless beauty revitalized for the 21st century. - [Ares](https://muhju.art/artworks/mmxxiii?work=ares) (2023, 1/1) The digital masterpiece titled "Ares" portrays the Greek deity Ares surging ahead with his sword held aloft. Behind him, a tumultuous blend of smoke and fire forms a swirling backdrop. Drawing inspiration from Greek mythology, the artwork presents Ares in a classic portrayal, emphasizing his robust physique and adorned with a helmet. This artwork holds a central position within a collaborative project undertaken by Muhju and Aeneas Middleton. Seamlessly interlocking, the digital artwork becomes an integral part of the larger painting crafted by Aeneas Middleton. Together, these two artistic creations forge a commanding and stirring depiction of the formidable god of war. - [Contemplating Death](https://muhju.art/artworks/mmxxiii?work=contemplating-death) (2023, Edition of 55) Contemplating Death" is a thought-provoking and visually enthralling artwork that delves into the enigmatic nature of life, death, and the eternal cycle of existence. The piece features an angel, sitting atop an ornately decorated Greek temple. The angel's foot is dipped into the vast cosmic expanse, which remains constant in the background. The observer witnesses the angel's transformation from a pure white form into a striking black silhouette, representing its fusion with the universe. This metamorphosis occurs in cycles, with the angel reverting to its white form, symbolizing rebirth and renewal. The angel's appearance changes according to the time of day, with its white form appearing during daylight hours and its dark form emerging at night. - [Death, at Last](https://muhju.art/artworks/mmxxiii?work=death-at-last) (2023, Edition of 22) Muhju x pho spiral artwork. For the glory of web3! - [Gravitas Mundi](https://muhju.art/artworks/mmxxiii?work=gravitas-mundi) (2023, 1/1) "Gravitas Mundi," which translates to "the weight of the world" in Latin, stands as an artwork heavily inspired by the theme of Atlas carrying the world. The figure is depicted in flight, moving towards a golden globe, and ultimately lifting it. The pose finds its inspiration from the depiction of Giorno, as illustrated by Hirohiko Araki. The artwork signifies the forthcoming Digital Renaissance worldwide, while subtly showcasing the rebirth of art in the digital realm. - [Heaven's Betrayal](https://muhju.art/artworks/mmxxiii?work=heaven-s-betrayal) (2023, 1/1) "Heaven's Betrayal" is a thought-provoking artwork that delves into the complexities of the human spirit and the enduring conflict between light and shadow. Through the interplay of enigmatic figures and a dreamlike setting, the artist invites viewers to reflect on the choices that define our lives and the delicate balance between good and evil. With its striking use of contrast and symbolism, this evocative piece encourages introspection, inspiring us to confront the duality that lies within ourselves and the world around us. "Heaven's Betrayal" serves as a compelling reminder of the transcendent power of art to provoke deep emotions and spark meaningful dialogue. - [Herald of the Sun](https://muhju.art/artworks/mmxxiii?work=herald-of-the-sun) (2023, 1/1) "Herald of the Sun" portrays two figures gracefully floating in the sky, embodying a reinterpretation of Greek mythology. The first figure represents Helios, the God of the Sun. Seated upon a cloud, Helios holds the radiant Sun, whose rays illuminate the world with life, enlightenment, and spiritual illumination. Beside Helios, we find Phosphorus, known as the bringer of light and the Herald of the Sun. Phosphorus gazes upon their mentor, entrusted with the task of spreading the light to every corner of the world. In their yearning for growth, Phosphorus symbolizes the human pursuit of wisdom and the desire to draw closer to the truth. Together, Helios and Phosphorus depict the interplay between life's essence and the eternal quest for growth and transcendence. "Herald of the Sun" speaks to our innate longing for spiritual awakening and the unwavering pursuit of profound meaning in our lives. - [Invictus](https://muhju.art/artworks/mmxxiii?work=invictus) (2023, 1/1) "Invictus" (latin for "invincible" or "unconquered") is an artwork that draws heavily from the Renaissance era. The painting depicts a vivid battle scene, showcasing a clash between divine figures engulfed in flames and embers. Beyond its dramatic display, the painting holds symbolic significance, representing the death and rebirth of art. - [Le Temps Revient](https://muhju.art/artworks/mmxxiii?work=le-temps-revient) (2023, Medici × Muhju, 1/1) The Medici coat of arms is a timeless and iconic artifact that has left an everlasting mark on history. Its basic components revolve around a radiant golden shield decorated with six spheres (originally "bisanti"), one of which holds a blue orb adorned with three fleurs-de-lys, symbolizing the Medici family's ancient ties to the royal house of France. Designed by the artist Muhju, this coat of arms represents a modern reinterpretation of an old tradition, integrated into the current era of the digital art renaissance. Its significance is enhanced by the fact that it was created specifically for Cosimo de' Medici di Toscana di Ottajano. At the top of the composition, a cherubic figure holds a crown bearing the Ethereum logo that is a reference to the diamond of the Medici, while laurel wreaths evoke the triumphs and immortality of the Medici family. Three feathers on the crown pay homage to Cosimo de' Medici il Vecchio, the "Pater Patriae". Upon closer inspection, the crest reveals an ornate and gilded skull at the bottom, a motif that encourages the viewer to contemplate the "memento mori". It is a reminder of mortality that is countered by the resurrection of artistic creation, symbolized by the wings of angelic figures that adorn the coat of arms. The phrase "Le Temps Revient" is engraved on the banners. This echoes the "motto" of Lorenzo il Magnifico, which alludes to the famous passage in Virgil's 4th Egloga "Redeunt Saturnia regna... surget gens aurea mundo" and which inspired Sandro Botticelli to paint his "Primavera". This inscription heralds, even in times of crisis, the hope for the beginning of a new era of prosperity and artistic splendor. - [Luminescent](https://muhju.art/artworks/mmxxiii?work=luminescent) (2023, Edition of 7) "Luminescent" is an artwork by the artist Muhju that breathes new life into the age-old theme of St. Michael's triumph over two demons, skillfully blending ancient narrative with contemporary 21st century digital art. The celestial battle unfolds amidst billowing clouds, with the archangel wielding a shining spear with finesse. This innovative adaptation reinvigorates the eternal struggle between good and evil, using 3D sculpting to convey a poignant and timeless message. Muhju's work not only showcases technical prowess, but also serves as a compelling testament to the enduring relevance of moral and spiritual themes, seamlessly bridging the gap between tradition and the digital age through a compelling visual narrative. - [Metamorphosis](https://muhju.art/artworks/mmxxiii?work=metamorphosis) (2023, 1/1) We find ourselves in a new era, a time defined by perpetual change. This shift encompasses not only aesthetic transformations but also a profound evolution in perspectives and art forms. Among these changes, the ascendance of the digital realm stands out as a pivotal force, and with it, a growing appreciation for digital art. Digital art has existed for decades, yet it hasn't received the wholehearted embrace of traditional art institutions and the broader art world. The question arises: Why should art crafted on a computer be regarded as any less valid than art painted on a canvas? Art is a mirror reflecting the contemporary state of society. It emerges when society and culture flourish. Moreover, art functions as a form of entertainment, and in today's world, it is predominantly a digital experience. However, let us not lose sight of its roots and journey. On the contrary, we should celebrate and perpetuate its growth and revolutionary potential. "Metamorphosis," a creation by the artist Muhju, encapsulates this sentiment. It embraces the painterly aesthetics of the Renaissance while infusing it with contemporary cultural influences and techniques, particularly those associated with the digital realm. In doing so, it pays homage to the "Digital Renaissance," a movement in which we all participate in the realm of Web3. It represents a transformation that unites the timeless beauty of the past with the dynamism of the present, bridging the gap between the traditional and the digital, and evolving art in the process - [Mortality's Masquerade](https://muhju.art/artworks/mmxxiii?work=mortality-s-masquerade) (2023, 1/1) This ethereal artwork captures a surreal realm where life, death, and the afterlife intersect. Featuring a captivating dance between mortal and ethereal figures, it represents the fleeting nature of existence and the significance of transcendent connections. Embodying the eternal struggle between good and evil, and the delicate balance of life and death, Mortality's Masquerade highlights the transformative power of connections and the ever-evolving journey through life's complexities. - [Planetarium](https://muhju.art/artworks/mmxxiii?work=planetarium) (2023, 1/1) "Planetarium" is an artwork by the artist Muhju, created for the "Automata" exhibit in Rome, which delves into the intersection of artificial intelligence and art. The piece features our Earth in gold, encapsulated within a nostalgic, old-school planetary model. It vividly portrays the life-to-death journey, depicting a woman carried by an angel and Hermes through the eternal skies of our universe. - [Plugged In](https://muhju.art/artworks/mmxxiii?work=plugged-in) (2023, Edition of 50) We‘re all connected through web3. Stay plugged in, the digital renaissance is now. - [Star Muhju Platinum](https://muhju.art/artworks/mmxxiii?work=star-muhju-platinum) (2023) - [Symphony of Swords](https://muhju.art/artworks/mmxxiii?work=symphony-of-swords) (2023, 1/1) "Symphony of Swords" is a captivating portrayal of a grand battle scene, deriving inspiration from the aesthetic brilliance of the Renaissance period. This artwork ingeniously melds diverse cultural influences, seamlessly combining elements from Roman and Greek soldiers. It intricately weaves together the captivating beauty found in classical reliefs, statues, and paintings of that era, transcending cultural boundaries. The composition effortlessly fuses architectural motifs and figures from Greek and Roman mythology, alongside Christian angelic beings. Through this harmonious blend of cultural aesthetics, the piece showcases a tapestry of artistic expressions, breathing new life into our contemporary context. Within this mesmerizing artwork, war unfolds as the central theme, capturing the intense clash of warriors and the profound interplay between life and death. Celestial figures, embodying both angelic and demonic qualities, gracefully hover above, guiding the fallen warriors into the afterlife, while simultaneously embodying the essence of existence. Additionally, the piece metaphorically represents the inner struggle and tumultuous clash arising from our passions, illustrating the relentless pursuit of motivation amidst the chaos of life. - [Temple of Art](https://muhju.art/artworks/mmxxiii?work=temple-of-art) (2023, Edition of 18) Created by the collaborative mind of Muhju and Bouboy, 'Temple of Art' unveils a sacred sanctuary that beautifully embodies the intricate depths of a solitary artist's imaginative psyche. Within this hallowed refuge, the artist's solitude finds resolution through an immersive plunge into a canvas rich with vibrant colors, synchronized with the ever-changing mood of the divine guardian deity residing within the temple. - [The Architect](https://muhju.art/artworks/mmxxiii?work=the-architect) (2023, Edition of 6) "The Architect" is a captivating self-portrait created by the artist Muhju, who also happens to be an architect. This remarkable artwork elicits profound introspection, conveying a powerful message that emphasizes our collective role as architects shaping our surroundings and our own lives. Drawing inspiration from Mark the Evangelist, who is commonly depicted with a lion (Lion of St. Mark), Muhju skillfully incorporates collapsing and floating architectural elements into the piece. These symbolic elements beautifully represent the perpetual journey of transformation and reconstruction that we all traverse in our lives. - [Up Only](https://muhju.art/artworks/mmxxiii?work=up-only) (2023, Edition of 30) Hidden animated piece by muhju art. In an explosive burst of colour that tears through the fabric of reality itself, the angel that was cast from the heavens finds himself turning into the devil. - [BLeU](https://muhju.art/artworks/mmxxii?work=bleu) (2022) - [Blockchain Artist](https://muhju.art/artworks/mmxxii?work=blockchain-artist) (2022, Edition of 20) animated artwork that is found in "flow of time". - [Clade Fateri](https://muhju.art/artworks/mmxxii?work=clade-fateri) (2022, 1/1) "Clade Fateri" (latin for "admitting defeat") depicts two figures clashing on a heated battlefield. In a single frame, the painting captures the chaotic moment of utter defeat, rendering vivid the misery of impending death. It is the original album cover for the single "Defeatist" by the Zurich-based metalcore band "Polar Shift". - [Coram Deo](https://muhju.art/artworks/mmxxii?work=coram-deo) (2022, 1/1) "Coram Deo" (latin for "in the presence of God") is a reinterpretation of "The Banquet of Cleopatra" by Baroque painter Giovanni Battista Tiepolo. A divine figure of sublime stature stands centrepiece, a golden sphere hovering above the palm of his hand. Surrounded by figures whose expressions are locked away behind masks, it is unclear whether they are aware of its radiating presence. - [Creation of Time](https://muhju.art/artworks/mmxxii?work=creation-of-time) (2022, Edition of 234) "Creation of Time": a piece that showcases the essence, style language and expression of Muhju Art. - [Damnatio Aeterna](https://muhju.art/artworks/mmxxii?work=damnatio-aeterna) (2022, Obscuria, 1/1) eternal damnation perpetual torment we're tortured by grief an underlying pain it breaks us in the shadows and festers in the depths of hell - [Devil's Dance](https://muhju.art/artworks/mmxxii?work=devil-s-dance) (2022, 1/1) "Devil's Dance" is a captivating artwork that masterfully encapsulates the intricate duality of our identities in the realm of web3. It skillfully melds the grace of traditional ballet poses with the opulent aesthetics of the baroque era. Within this artwork, a perpetual dance unfolds, symbolizing the ever-shifting exchange of the identities that reside within us. - [Doxa](https://muhju.art/artworks/mmxxii?work=doxa) (2022, Obscuria, 1/1) The guardian of your subconciousness, in perpetual contemplation. The term "doxa" is an ancient Greek term that means: to think, to accept. - [Flow of Time](https://muhju.art/artworks/mmxxii?work=flow-of-time) (2022, Edition of 66) We shall wander through time. Until the very end. - [I Would Die for You](https://muhju.art/artworks/mmxxii?work=i-would-die-for-you) (2022) - [Immortal](https://muhju.art/artworks/mmxxii?work=immortal) (2022) - [Misery](https://muhju.art/artworks/mmxxii?work=misery) (2022, 1/1) “Miseria” (latin for “misfortune”, “grief”, or “misery”) is a modern interpretation of the fall of Lucifer, a biblical concept that has been echoed throughout the Medieval and Renaissance epochs. This piece draws from the feelings of exclusion, hurt, anger, and grief, paralleling what Lucifer felt when he was cast from heaven. - [No Tricks, No Cheating](https://muhju.art/artworks/mmxxii?work=no-tricks-no-cheating) (2022) - [Obitus Venit](https://muhju.art/artworks/mmxxii?work=obitus-venit) (2022, 1/1) „Obitus Venit“ (latin for „approaching one’s end“ or „death is coming“) is a rework of John Collier’s painting „The Death of Cleopatra“. The figure on the bed (Cleopatra, depicted with a golden skull) has passed. Besides her, her maiden with an almost emotionless expression. She‘s leaning onto the bed, moments before succumbing to the poison herself. The reinterpretation shows Cleopatra‘s soul emerging from her body and manifesting as an angelic figure, reaching for a divine-like being with spread-out wings, who is pointing in direction of the upcoming journey: upwards. „death hast cometh thy pain shall subside riseth up and did spread thy wings I shall guideth thee in this parting and alloweth thy soul beest free“ Muhju Art, 2022 - [Phronesis](https://muhju.art/artworks/mmxxii?work=phronesis) (2022, Obscuria, 1/1) The wise man's gaze. The term "phronesis" is a Greek term that symbolizes the ability to govern and discipline oneself by the use of reason and wisdom in all possible situations. - [Res Amissa](https://muhju.art/artworks/mmxxii?work=res-amissa) (2022, Edition of 16) "facilis descensus averno" - [Usque Ad Mortem](https://muhju.art/artworks/mmxxii?work=usque-ad-mortem) (2022, 1/1) "Usque ad Mortem" (latin for "until death”, here "until death do us part") depicts the moment two lovers are forever separated by death. Struck with grief and panic, they are fighting the angel of death while at the same time submitting to their fate. In a desperate attempt of protecting her lover (who is, in his last moments, still reaching for her), the female figure is pushing away the angel, the emotional expression of which is concealed by an ornated mask. - [Venditio Animae](https://muhju.art/artworks/mmxxii?work=venditio-animae) (2022, Obscuria, 1/1) what if I sold my soul to the devil and let it go? scared to lose control I surrender - [Vortex](https://muhju.art/artworks/mmxxii?work=vortex) (2022, Obscuria, 1/1) take me from the depths of hell ## Nexus Anima https://muhju.art/artworks/nexus-anima Nexus Anima is a collection of 50 unique portraits, each depicting a character drawn from humanity’s playful, vivid history. The skull, which symbolizes "memento mori", also represents the rebirth of art in the digital age. The necklace is designed by Muhju and manufactured by the renowned brand Nove25. - [Cancel Vulture Polar Shift](https://muhju.art/artworks/project-work?work=cancel-vulture-polar-shift) - [Cendre Bracelet](https://muhju.art/artworks/project-work?work=cendre-bracelet) - [Cendre Token](https://muhju.art/artworks/project-work?work=cendre-token) - [Le Temps Revient](https://muhju.art/artworks/project-work?work=le-temps-revient) (Medici × Muhju, 1/1) The Medici coat of arms is a timeless and iconic artifact that has left an everlasting mark on history. - [Permadeath Polar Shift](https://muhju.art/artworks/project-work?work=permadeath-polar-shift) - [Shapeshifter Polar Shift](https://muhju.art/artworks/project-work?work=shapeshifter-polar-shift) Polar Shift are celebrating the release of their very first EP, which goes by the name of "Shapeshifter".
